12th National Conference on the Theory and Applications of Random Vibration and 9th National Conference on Stochastic Dynamics

30 October–1 November 2020

The meeting covered advances in random vibration and stochastic dynamics, with emphasis on the response and reliability of complex systems under random loading. Discussions extended to data-based methods, uncertainty propagation, structural damage identification and vibration control.

Four group members, including doctoral students Hui Chen, Zhifeng Wu and Hongwang Lü, attended the 12th National Conference on the Theory and Applications of Random Vibration from 30 October to 1 November 2020 and gave session presentations. The conference was organized by the Chinese Society for Vibration Engineering. Local arrangements were made by the School of Civil Engineering at Chongqing University, the State Key Laboratory of Disaster Reduction in Civil Engineering at Tongji University and Chongqing Liyituo Software Co., Ltd.

  • Nonlinear random vibration and system modelling
  • Uncertainty propagation and quantification
  • Probabilistic analysis of wind and seismic effects
  • Structural monitoring, control and optimization
