ISSE-16 examined new materials, structural systems and advanced analysis techniques, linking fundamental research with major engineering applications. Its scope included intelligent construction, low-carbon buildings, structural monitoring and the performance enhancement of existing structures.

From 1 to 4 April 2023, Zhifeng Wu represented the group at the 16th International Symposium on Structural Engineering (ISSE-16), hosted by Hebei University of Technology in Tianjin, and delivered a presentation.
