Deputy Chief Engineer Junli Zhao visits and presents research on highway bridge safety

The presentation covered achievements in highway bridge construction in China, overall disaster losses and safety conditions in recent years, representative bridge disasters and recommended responses.

Drawing on extensive professional experience in highway bridge engineering, Deputy Chief Engineer Junli Zhao gave a systematic overview of bridge safety in China and measures for responding to disasters.

More than 100 faculty members, external experts and postgraduate students attended the presentation. Afterwards, the speaker discussed bridge safety, disaster response and engineering practice with the faculty and students present.
