Ninth International Symposium on Life-Cycle Civil Engineering (IALCCE 2025)
15–19 July 2025
The symposium addressed safety, reliability, resilience and sustainability throughout the life cycle of structures and infrastructure systems. Discussions covered design, performance assessment and maintenance under uncertainty, climate change and diverse environmental conditions, connecting advances in life-cycle engineering with engineering practice.
The event brought together more than 300 delegates from 31 countries. Its proceedings contain 228 contributions: the Fazlur R. Khan Lecture, seven keynote lectures and 220 technical papers. Topics include life-cycle design and assessment, risk analysis, digital tools and whole-life costing.
Group member Cihang Ma attended the symposium and delivered a technical-session presentation entitled “A new analytical approximation of dynamic responses of random parameter nonlinear systems”. The presentation was included in the session on life-cycle assessment of civil infrastructure on 17 July.
